Each year an outstanding senior in psychology receives special recognition. The student is chosen by a committee of psychology faculty based on his or her scholarship and service to the field. Psychology majors who have senior standing are eligible. A nomination letter from a faculty member, unofficial transcript and resume are required documents to be considered for this award. The deadline for this year is Feb. 1, 2017. Please submit the documents to the Psychology Department.
Each year the College of Liberal Arts selects one undergraduate student from the entire college as its outstanding undergraduate student. Juniors and seniors in psychology are eligible to apply. One applicant from a group of psychology students who have distinguished themselves in scholarship and contributions to the field will be selected by the psychology faculty to represent the department for the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award in Liberal Arts. A student must have a 3.8 GPA or higher and may apply or be nominated by a faculty member. The deadline for the application or nomination form and supporting documents is Feb. 1, 2017. The College of Liberal Arts selects one graduate student from the entire college to receive this honor each year. A psychology graduate student who has excelled academically and has made significant contributions in scholarship and service will be nominated to represent the Psychology Department for the Outstanding Graduate Student Award in the College of Liberal Arts. Psychology graduate students who have completed at least 18 hours of graduate work and have a GPA of at least 3.75 may be nominated by faculty.
