Computer Labs

The Psychology Department currently operates three computer labs.

FOOD AND DRINK ARE PROHIBITED IN ALL COMPUTER LABS.

Classroom Computer Lab (ELA 224)

Classroom Lab

The classroom computer lab, located in Evans Liberal Arts room 224, is the primary computer lab for the department. It contains 40 Windows workstations loaded with SPSS Statistical Software and Microsoft Office. You must have a Texas State NetID to use this lab.

This lab is only open to faculty with classes by reservation.

THERE ARE NO OPEN LAB HOURS.

 

 

Research Computer Lab (UAC 008)

Research Lab

The research computer lab, located in the Undergraduate Academic Center room 008, is a special purpose research lab. The lab contains 13 Windows workstations with Microsoft Office, SPSS Statistical Software, and specialized research software.

There are no open lab hours for this lab. This room is access controlled. You must have a Texas State NetID to use this lab.

 

 

 

Data Entry Lab (UAC 225)

Data Entry Lab

The Data Entry Lab, located in the Undergraduate Academic Center room 225, has seven Windows computers available for research assistants to enter and manage data collected from experiments. These machines are equipped with Microsoft Office, SPSS Statistical software, adn specialized research software.

There are no open lab hours for this lab. This room is access controlled. You must have a Texas State NetID to use this lab.

 

 

General Use Computer Labs

The department does not operate any general use computer labs. If you need to print something or use a computer for a non-class related function, please use one of the ITS labs or the liberal arts computer lab.

The liberal arts computer lab is currently located in UAC 440.

The closest ITS lab to the Undergraduate Academic Center is the Derrick Hall Lab in Derrick 114.

You may also wish to use the library lab on the fourth floor of the Alkek Library.

The liberal arts, Derrick and library labs should all have computers equipped with SPSS statistical software.
